Our philosophy unfolds through the historic Sienese appellations such as Chianti Classico, Vernaccia di San Gimignano and Chianti Colli Senesi, wines of great renown to which are added the more recent Super Tuscans. In the vineyard, too, the path is set: thanks to the enthusiasm of young Technical Director Alessandro Barabesi, the Piccini family is working to strengthen the community of winemakers that has gravitated around Agricoltori del Geografico for decades.
Through a delicate path of valorization, the historic Tuscan wine brand is experiencing a second youth, strengthened by an innovative approach that does not forget the origins and taste of tradition.
“The Geografico is a reality dense with history. – emphasizes winemaker Alessandro Barabesi – It represents a reference and meeting point for many generations of winemakers not only from Chianti Classico, but from the whole of Tuscany. My approach, therefore, is based on the rediscovery of ancient traditions and flavors linked to a modern technical application, capable of satisfying the dictates of today’s winemaking world. Our ambition is to take up the immense legacy of Geografico and ferry it into the third millennium.”
