Centuries ago, a young farmer named Angiolo made a discovery that changed his life forever. Intent on working in the fields, he noticed a raven, intent on pecking

his crop. Furious, he began to chase the bird away. By dint of running after the bird, Angiolo found himself in a clearing at the foot of a hill. Intrigued by the novelty, he climbed the slope: what he saw on the other side filled his heart. Before his eyes, an ancient vineyard unfurled.

It was love at first sight.

Armed with dedication and patience, the boy returned to the vineyard, turning that neglected corner into a little gem. From this first vineyard, Mangerina Estate would later be born, the origin and first offshoot of the Piccini winery.
