A 2021 that, although it began with the aftermath of the pandemic situation, for the Piccini 1882 group is drawing to a close with significant signs of growth both in terms of turnover, with about 100 million euros achieved and divided 32% in Italy and 68% outside national borders, and in sales volumes. The latter have, in fact, increased thanks to a driving foreign sector that marked a +50% followed by the e-commerce channel. These great results are the result of a virtuous strategy born out of the desire of Mario Piccini, the company’s patron, to invest in two aspects in particular: the development of social responsibility and the diversification of sales channels, always putting people and the company’s well-being at the center.

“To the difficulties that the pandemic situation has put in front of us, we have tried to respond with energy and determination, having in mind that the difference, especially in times of crisis, is always made by people,” – comments Mario Piccini, the company’s CEO – “Hence the decision to diversify even more the channels through which we reach and stay close to the consu-mator. We were able to reorganize ourselves by taking into account the difficulties experienced by operators in the Ho.Re.Ca. channel and choosing to go and strengthen our presence in large-scale distribution and, above all, in e- commerce. A growth that has also affected our company’s personnel, reaching 97 professional figures within the S.P.A. Even in a period of crisis like this, it was essential to decide to invest in human resources, and the results prove it.”

A far-sighted and highly focused project, the one initiated within the Piccini group, which in this past year has paid special attention to the issue of corporate social responsibility, including through the initiation of a social reporting process for the group itself. Piccini 1882, today represents one of the most dynamic and innovative realities of the entire Italian wine scene with the 5 estates that together count more than 200 hectares of vineyards.
