THE PICCINI FAMILY PRESENTS THE THREE NEW PREMIUM WINES GOLD COLLECTION
BORN FROM THE COLLABORATION WITH RICCARDO COTARELLA.
An Orvieto Classico, a Rosato and a Toscana IGT confirm the high quality standards of the line created to spread the Piccini family philosophy in Italy.

Collezione Oro, the line that has always been reserved for the great Tuscan appellations made in 2003 with the launch of Chianti Riserva and enriched in 2017 with the addition of Chianti Superiore, is now completed with three new wines born from the collaboration between Mario Piccini, the fourth generation of the historic Tuscan wine family, and the well-known oenologist and friend Riccardo Cotarella. A line extension linked inseparably to high oenological precision aimed at preserving the natural quality of the grapes and coinciding with the inauguration of the new winery last January in Casole d’Elsa, in the heart of Tuscany. A state-of-the-art facility capable of supporting the work done at the agronomic level first and then at the oenological level, thanks to modern technologies and state-of-the-art control systems.

An Orvieto Classico, a white that looks to the future, a Rosato made in the typical manner of the Tuscan Maremma, fresh and extremely fragrant, and finally a blend of Sangiovese and Bordeaux grapes. These are the three wines that complete the Premium Collezione Oro line created with the aim of making known in Italy the high quality of Piccini’s wines and whose development is a tangible demonstration of the company’s great ability to listen to the markets, always able not only to propose to the consumer products that are identity, territorial and appreciated, but also to organize its production in such a way as to intercept the needs of the consumers themselves.

“A year after the launch of the first wine in the Gold Collection, Chianti Riserva, an IRI study showed that this reference was the best-selling Chianti label in Italy. We realized that we were on the right track and there we had to continue,” says Mario Piccini, who heads the wine group of the same name. “To give further impetus to the project, we extended the line to other references and signed a collaboration with Riccardo Cotarella, a great professional with whom we also cooperate fruitfully on other projects.”

The wines of which the line is composed are ambassadors of typicality and, in particular, of the Tuscan character that Piccini represents and wants to offer consumers: sincere and convivial wines to bring to the table to spend joyful moments with family and friends.

The Collezione Oro project immediately achieved important results in terms of volume and visibility, just think that in the international portal Vivino, Chianti Riserva Collezione Oro shares the scene within the top 10 of the most popular wines along with other iconic wines of world oenology from great territories such as Bolgheri or Champagne. The wines are now distributed by major national chains, thanks in part to the pricing policy that remains uniform for each brand, so as to ensure total transparency for the consumer.

“This is a project that I am very excited about,” says Riccardo Cotarella “Piccini is a company with which I immediately hit it off, and I can only admire the work they have done over the years. Collezione Oro is a line with a precise and recognizable identity, and I am pleased to be able to give my contribution to a project that aims to spread quality on the one hand and good humor and conviviality on the other.”

On the strength of their success on the domestic market, the new wines of the Premium Collezione Oro line will also be offered to foreign markets, where Piccini is present in more than 80 countries, bringing the typicality and quality of Made in Italy wine to the world. And meanwhile, in August the Collezione Oro Chianti Riserva will also make its debut on the shelves of Costco UK.
