WITH THE NEW LABEL, PICCINI CELEBRATES ITALY AND ITS VALUES,
CHARTING A NEW COURSE, UNDER THE SIGN OF THE “ITALIAN RECIPE.”
For more than 140 years, the fairy tale of Pinocchio has enchanted the world. The adventures of the lighthearted puppet have entertained entire generations, helping to make Pinocchio one of the best-known and best-loved icons of the Bel Paese. The same mission animates the spirit of Piccini, which aims to be the most dynamic ambassador of Italian wine. Following this common thread, the historic Tuscan brand decided to tie itself to the wooden puppet, translating its magic into bottles.
“Pinocchio is one of the best-known faces of our country,” comments Mario Piccini, CEO of Piccini, “his adventures accompanied our childhood, and still manage to bring a smile to our faces. With this project we want to pay homage to one of the symbols of Italian culture, proposing a fresh and lively wine, like Pinocchio’s temperament.”
Lively and authentic, ‘Pinocchio’ keeps the jovial character of the puppet intact, revealing his exuberant and contemporary profile. Right from the packaging, the wine winks at the consumer, exhibiting its personality. The belly shapes of the bottle recall the ancient flasks of tradition, paying homage to the common Tuscan roots of Pinocchio and the Piccini family. The shellac that encapsulates the bottle lends an additional note of style and charm to the wine, recalling, with its stylized outline, the famous puppet’s cap. Its delicious flavors of strawberries, blackberries and berries pair perfectly with appetizers, earthy entrees and fish soups. The fresh, spirited streak of ‘Pinocchio’ is enhanced by low temperatures, making this wine an ideal accompaniment for aperitifs. Eclectic and versatile, our ‘Pinocchio’ is the perfect companion for any occasion, just like Collodi’s fairy tale.
With its distinct identity, ‘Pinocchio’ responds to one watchword: “uniqueness.” The new label is the result of the so-called ‘Italian Recipe’ developed by the Piccini family with the aim of creating a fresh and modern product. The Italian wine family thus charts a new course: creating iconic wines, declined according to its own formula. ‘Pinocchio’ best interprets the new horizon drawn by the Tuscan winery, conveying the values in which Piccini has believed for 140 years, under the banner of conviviality and sharing.
