The countdown to the grape harvest has begun. At the starting tape, our Tuscan vines are showing optimal vegetative development, aided by the rainfall that has accompanied the season. Although the thermometer has registered scorching temperatures in recent weeks, the vines have exhibited remarkable resilience. Wise management and water reserves replenished by the June rains have accompanied the plants through the summer, ensuring a good concentration of sugars within the berry.
“Right now,” reveals our Technical Director Pasquale Presutto, “we are in the veraison phase. The Maremma whites will open the harvest dances around mid-August, especially the grapes destined for our brut, in order to enhance their organoleptic components.”
