Piccini 1882

Tenute Piccini’s response to the crisis.

UNITY IS STRENGTH: HELD PICCINI AND THE HOLY DRINKER
TOGETHER IN SUPPORT OF NEW FRAILTIES.
“Everything will be fine and we will soon toast to the courage of a heart,
that of Italy, which has beaten even fear.”

Thus ends the commercial by estates Piccini aired from Easter in prime time on Mediaset channels, a wish that is meant to be a message of hope for the entire country. In a few seconds of footage, images of empty cities give way to the immensity of Tuscan landscapes and the beauty of rows of vines, as if to say that nature does not stand still and, indeed, waits patiently in our return to action.

The communication desired by the company based in Castellina in Chianti (SI) fully reflects the entrepreneurial vision of its patron Mario Piccini, the company’s CEO, in the idea that once again despite the difficulties, the country will be able to rise again by demonstrating courage and willpower. Moved by this conviction Mario Piccini has since the beginning of this emergency made important choices inspired by the values of solidarity and responsibility. In such a dramatic moment for Italy, in fact, the company has decided to donate 30,000 masks to the civil protection delegations of Tuscany, Lombardy and Liguria and to join the charity initiative put in place by a well-known e-commerce portal, which will donate €1 to the Sacco Hospital in Milan for every bottle sold of the references of Torre Mora, the Piccini family’s estate on Mount Etna.

On the domestic front, Mario Piccini has decided to continue, with even greater incisiveness, the wine group’s investments starting with the two areas considered vital to the company: people and vineyards. At a time of global crisis where uncertainty conditions the actions of many, Piccini has made a commitment to its employees first and foremost, and secondly to customers and suppliers, to keep production running and thus guarantee full-time employment and without the need for layoffs for all the company’s employees. “We have kept all production sites active, complying with the regulations of the DPCMs in order to be able to continue to guarantee the communication of the products, of our Made in Italy, both in Italy and abroad,” says Mario Piccini, CEO of the company.

“We consider ourselves beyond fortunate to have been able, in our small way, to maintain high levels of employment without activating tools such as layoffs.” To ensure greater safety for employees and continuity of work, Piccini has divided the operations team into two separate teams that are working alternately but at the which wages are guaranteed despite rest shifts. Investments are continuing not only on the production side, but also in the countryside, where new vineyards have been planted both at Fattoria di Valiano, the Piccini family’s estate in the heart of Chianti Classico in Castelnuovo Berardenga, and at Tenuta Moraia, in the wild Tuscan Maremma in the province of Grosseto. “United we will be able to overcome even this difficult time,” Mario Piccini concludes. “and we from Piccini want to give a signal of hope to all of Italy: together we will start again. After all, we are the country that has dedicated centuries to creating masterpieces under the banner of excellence, masterpieces that the whole world admires and that today more than ever must inspire our actions.”
