Ginevra, Benedetta and Michelangelo Piccini at the helm of the project that will encompass all the family’s estates under the axiom “one grape – one territory”
March 2023, Casole d’Elsa – Five estates that mark a unique oenological itinerary, capable of touching some of the most prized areas of the Bel Paese: “The objective that will guide us will be the telling of the peculiarities and nuances of five terroirs that have marked the history of the Italian wine sector and of our family,” say Ginevra, Benedetta and Michelangelo Piccini. On this journey we will be joined by oenologists Alessandro Barabesi and Pasquale Presutto, who will manage the technical side of the project focusing on an ecological and sustainable approach. As the fifth generation Piccini, we are motivated to pursue an innovative vision devoted to experimentation as well as high product quality.”
The estates that are part of the project are located in various regions of Italy: starting in the hills of Valiano, in the heart of Chianti Classico, then skirting the Tuscan Maremma, where Tenuta Moraia is located, and continuing into the realm of Brunello, home of Villa al Cortile. Completing the picture are the two volcanic estates of Torre Mora, on the threshold of Etna, and Regio Cantina, at the foot of Vulture, in the lands of Aglianico.
To celebrate the beginning of this new journey, the presentation at Vinitaly 2023 of a new label, the Metodo Classico Chiuse sparkling wine, born from the volcanic Torre Mora estate.
