“Our labels needed a refresh, one that would also visually render the cool, maritime climate of the Maremma. – says Andrea Pieri, Graphic Designer of Piccini 1882 – For this, in the new restyling, I was inspired by elegant, fairy-tale settings as for Vanesio, our rosé. Compared to the previous label, which was more geometric and set, I preferred to veer toward something more airy that recalled classicism, albeit in a modern key. This is complemented by an elegant font that embellishes the label. The same goes for the Calandrino, which recalls the famous character from Boccaccio’s novellas. With Pacchia, on the other hand, I wanted to emphasize the concept of opulence, which is more appropriate for a red wine, thanks to this festive character in the foreground that represents well the concept of the pacchia and enjoying life.”
The new look tells, with characters drawn from myth and folk folklore, the most poetic and almost enigmatic soul of Maremma.
