Freshness and immediacy are the new buzzwords in wine. In recent years, in fact, partly due to the renewed interest in moderation, low-alcohol wines are increasingly gaining a foothold in the hearts of consumers.
In response to new market trends, Piccini once again rewrites the rules of the game, launching Chianti Slim, which with its 11 degrees represents the new frontier of wine. Yet, like all revolutions, this one takes us back to the roots. In ancient times, Chianti has always had a low alcohol content. Our grandparents’ wine rarely exceeded 10-11%: the greater lightness enhanced the fruit profile, lighting up evenings with friends. This reminds us that in order to break the rules and rewrite the future, it is essential to look back, a philosophy that Piccini has always pursued.
In the glass, our Chianti Slim shows a vibrant ruby red with violet highlights. The bouquet opens with fresh red fruit, playing on hints of cherry and floral hints of rose. On the palate it does not lose its slim tone, followed by a remarkable freshness that enhances its drinkability, towards a very elegant finish.
