The stated goal remains to walk the path of enhancing and defending the immense winemaking heritage of the Chianti lands. The daughter of this philosophy is La Pevera, produced with microvinification techniques, adopting non-invasive winemaking practices.
The Pevera pays homage to the rich Tuscan winemaking tradition, taking its name from an ancient winemaking tool. In ancient times, in fact, the “pevera” was a wooden funnel that was used to pour wine into barrels, which is still kept in the Geografico’s premises. Recalling this glorious past, La Pevera presents itself as a prestigious Super Tuscan that stylishly reinterprets the ancient winemaking tradition.
With the Pevera, the Geografico delivers to wine lovers a wine of extreme grace, created with the precise intention of popularizing the Geografico’s winemaking excellence. The result is a Toscana IGT that bears the signature of its winemaker, thanks to an elegant blend that combines Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon with the standard-bearer of the Rhone Valley, Syrah, capable of reaching, in these lands, heights of absolute refinement.
