Our story begins in the village of Poggibonsi, in the heart of Tuscany. In the shadow of the rolling hills, with just a handful of land, Angiolo Piccini founded a small winery — one destined to shape the future of Tuscan wine. It was 1882.
Since then, the company has carved out a prestigious place on both the domestic and international wine scenes, today boasting a strong presence in more than ninety countries around the world. Over a history spanning more than 140 years, five generations have passed the torch, united by a single mission: to rewrite the future of Italian wine.
With a modern and contemporary spirit, our wines travel across Italy and beyond, bringing to every table the vibrant energy and familiar warmth that make Piccini the true Italian wine family.
The future is our comfort zone
On the threshold of the year 2000, Mario Piccini made a bold move: to redesign the most classic of Italian wines and present a fresh, modern Chianti to a new generation of wine lovers.
His goal was clear: to take one of Tuscany’s most iconic traditions by the hand and lead it into the new millennium.
The gamble paid off: Chianti Orange was born. Riding the wave of its success, the entire winery embraced the vibrant orange color, a symbol of the dynamism and innovation that have always driven us forward.
The “Collezione Oro” line was created with a clear vision: to unite the best appellations of Italy under one banner, capturing our history in each bottle.
The flagship and cornerstone of this collection is Chianti Riserva, which has become an iconic representation of Tuscan wine. Staying true to its roots, the line has since expanded, welcoming new wines crafted with the specific aim of making Collezione Oro the ultimate benchmark for Italy’s extraordinary wine heritage.
