Ribolla Gialla Venezia Giulia
An indigenous variety of Friuli, Ribolla Gialla traverses the region’s history, crossing the steps of the most distinguished men of the past. As early as the 14th century, Giovanni Boccaccio counted Ribolla among the sins of gluttony. Duke Leopold III of Austria was also a great admirer of it, so much so that he ordered that the region provide him with 100 urns of this wine each year.
